The squadron will be the centre of your cadet activities if you choose to join. The Air Training Corps is made up of thousands of squadrons across the country; because there are so many, the country is divided into Regions and Wings to group the squadrons together.

2158 (Sevenoaks) Squadron is a part of Kent Wing in the London & South East Region. The squadron is one of 31 others across Kent, who often collaborate on camps and activities together.
The squadron is where the weekday activities of the Air Cadets generally take place. We parade two nights a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) between 1900 (7pm) and 2130 (9:30pm) in the Cadet Centre located in Argyle Road, Sevenoaks. As a squadron we have a large building with a lot of facilities; we have 2 training rooms, a large parade/sports hall with our own climbing wall, as well as two offices plus a canteen.
The squadron is a uniformed, disciplined place and is run by a number of adult volunteers; some of these volunteers wear uniforms, while others do not. To read more about the adult staff on the squadron click here. The cadets themselves also play a part in running the squadron, as certain cadets will be granted Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) rank by the Commanding Officer (CO). To read more about the Air Cadets rank structure, click here. These NCOs hold responsibilites in the running of the squadron and its associated activites. The squadron runs a defined training programme which cadets will follow through their time with us. Click here to read more about the training that cadets undergo.
The squadron is also served by a Civilian Committee who look after the welfare of the cadets and the squadron. To read more about their duties, please click here.
